Who we are

What we collect
We collect only what we need to run a doorstep service business.
- Identity: mobile number (verified via OTP), name, optional email, optional PIN hash for fast sign-in.
- Service address: the address you book a service at, and the optional GPS pin you share at booking. Saved addresses live in your account for one-tap re-use.
- Vehicle: the make / model / variant you book for. Used to match parts and pricing.
- Booking history: what you booked, when, what was performed, what you paid.
- Communications: messages exchanged with the AI help chat and any support tickets you open.
- Device + log data: standard server logs (IP, user-agent, request paths) for security and abuse prevention.
How we use it
- To fulfil the services you book (assign a technician, send arrival OTP, take payment).
- To keep you informed by SMS / WhatsApp / in-app on the status of your booking.
- To improve the product — aggregate analytics, never identifying individual customers.
- To comply with tax, accounting and legal obligations (GST e-invoices, retention).
- To prevent fraud and abuse.
Who we share data with
We don't sell your data. We share strictly what is necessary with:
- The technician assigned to your job — name, phone, address, vehicle, items booked. Phone is masked through our system where the integration supports it.
- Payment partners (e.g. Razorpay) when you opt to pay online. They handle the card / UPI rails; we never store full card numbers.
- Communication providers (SMS / WhatsApp / email) to deliver booking-related notifications.
- Compliance partners for KYC of technicians and for tax filings.
Cookies and tracking
We use a single first-party cookie (sayds_session) to keep you signed in. We don't use third-party advertising cookies. Analytics is aggregated and contains no personally-identifying information.
How long we keep it
- Active account data: as long as your account is open.
- Booking + invoice records: 8 years (statutory retention under Indian tax law).
- Server logs: 30 days unless flagged for investigation.
- Support tickets: 12 months after closure.
Your rights
You can access, correct, or erase your personal data, withdraw consent, and nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in case of incapacity. See /dpdp for the full list and how to exercise them.
Children
Automac’s is not intended for users under 18. We don't knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has shared data with us, write to us and we'll delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes are highlighted with a banner and an updated “last updated” date at the top of this page.
