Terms of service

These terms govern your use of Automac’s and the services we provide. By booking a service through us, you agree to them. Please also read our privacy policy and cancellation policy.

The service

Automac’s (operated by Automac’s) is a marketplace that connects you with independent, KYC-verified technicians who deliver vehicle services at your doorstep. The technician is the service provider; we are the platform facilitating the booking, communication, and payment.

Your account

  • You must be 18 or older to book a service.
  • You're responsible for keeping your phone number / PIN safe.
  • One account per person. Don't share credentials.

Bookings, pricing and payment

  • The price you see at booking is the indicative quote based on the items you select.
  • On site, the technician may diagnose a different issue. If the scope changes, the technician will explain the actual work needed and the revised amount, and proceed only after you agree.
  • You pay only for what was actually performed. The receipt you see post-completion is itemised — unchecked items don't bill.
  • Payment methods supported: cash, UPI, or in-app online payment.
  • Online payments are processed by our payment partners. We don't store card numbers.
  • GST is collected as required by Indian tax law. E-invoices are delivered to your registered email or in-app.

The start-OTP

When the technician arrives at your doorstep, we generate a 6-digit code visible only on your tracking page. The technician must enter this code to start service. This protects you from unauthorised work and confirms the technician is the one we dispatched.

Warranty

Each bookable item carries its own warranty (e.g. tyre brand warranty, battery manufacturer warranty, our 30-day workmanship guarantee on labour). Warranty details are shown on the SKU before you book and on the digital invoice.

What we don't do

  • We don't take title to spare parts. The technician procures, you own.
  • We don't guarantee outcomes that depend on the condition of your vehicle.
  • We don't resell or transfer your data to third parties for advertising.

Your responsibilities

  • Give the technician safe access to the vehicle at the slot you booked.
  • Don't ask the technician to perform work outside the scope of the booking without recording it on the receipt.
  • Treat technicians with respect. Threats or harassment will close your account.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Automac’s's liability for any claim arising out of a booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Dispute resolution

Contact our grievance officer at /legal/grievance first. If unresolved, disputes are governed by the laws of India, with exclusive jurisdiction in the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes are surfaced via an in-app banner. Your continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
